THAT SPRINGTIME

That Springtime (2021) encapsulate moments of being in the city, at a time when the world was suspended, yet so restless.
In the installation, each of three digital videos That Springtime on wall loops a moment before something happened at the time when the video was filmed, gazing at the video becomes an eternal wait for a transformation. The work is an attempt to sensualise mental experiences, as well as to experiment with intermedia possibilities among painting, digital image and sculpture.
The dislocated street lamp, And so it is, cannot perform its normal function erupts the serenity of a space that someone called home, and transforms a moment of glitch into perpetuity.
The performative work Rewind forward is an exercise to copy a poem related to the city that was continued during the exhibition period, instead of writing in the poem’s original language, the text is replaced with Lorem Ipsum - a placeholder text developed for layouts, previews and mockups.
